Job Description
GHD is a leading professional services company offering engineering, architecture, and construction services globally. They are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their Americas Engineering Design Organization, working on projects in Baton Rouge, Houston, and Detroit, MI. The role involves designing power distribution systems, providing power to equipment, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver sustainable energy solutions.
Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience in the design of electrical power generation, distribution and utilization systems
- Excellent understanding of NFPA70 (NEC), NFPA 70E, and NFPA 70B and other electrical industry codes, standards and recommended practices
- Experience with ETAP or SKM computer-assisted electrical power study programs including short-circuit, protective relaying coordination and arc-flash studies
- Experience with Visual Lighting software
- Basic understanding of PLC’s
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet with clients to represent the company's technical capabilities
