Environmental Engineer

Join GHD's Emergency Management (GHD FIRST) team as an Environmental Scientist/Engineer and kickstart your career in environmental consulting. The role involves conducting environmental sampling and monitoring, assisting with project coordination, and contributing to client deliverables. The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of experience in environmental engineering, geology, or related fields, with a passion for environmental stewardship, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel as needed.

Requirements

• Assist with the coordination of environmental and emergency response projects
• Support the preparation of technical correspondence, reports, work plans, and cost estimates
• Provide on-site assistance for environmental emergencies and fieldwork
• Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring for various media and contaminants
• Collaborate with GHD subject matter experts to contribute to technically accurate project deliverables
• Participate in business development activities
• Support visibility initiatives
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Be available for afterhours response to attend environmental emergencies
• Research, design, plan, and perform engineering duties in the prevention, control, and remediation of environmental hazards
