Job Description
GIFFORDS is a nonprofit organization focused on saving lives from gun violence and seeking an Associate Development Director to lead their Pacific Northwest fundraising efforts. This role requires securing principal, foundation, and major gifts, building a pipeline of new donors, and collaborating with National Development Program and Regional Development Director teams. The position involves managing a portfolio of donors, writing communications, and building lasting donor relationships.
Requirements
- At least four to six years of experience with direct major donor solicitation and securing major and principal gifts
- Record of securing gifts of $25,000 and more
- Experience researching and prospecting major donors
- Experience leveraging principal capacity to secure major gifts
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, time management, and organizational skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong belief in and commitment to gun violence prevention
