Senior Engineer - Materials & Special Processes

GKN Aerospace is seeking a Senior Engineer - Materials & Special Processes to join their team in Papendrecht, NL. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing manufacturing processes, qualifying materials and processes, and promoting GKN's technical capability globally. The role requires a strong background in chemistry, materials science, or aerospace engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial engineering discipline. The ideal candidate will have excellent reporting and project management skills, as well as a good command of the English language. Requirements

• Chemistry / materials science / aerospace engineering education, BSc / MSc level
• Knowledge of / experience in industrial chemical (surface) treatments of metallic substrates related to corrosion protection and bonding
• Familiarity with REACh environmental legislation
• Minimum of 5 years (10 years preferred) of relevant experience within an industrial engineering discipline, preferably within an aerospace environment
• Experience with quality systems, specifications, standards, etc.
• Excellent reporting and project management skills
• Good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing, Dutch language is an advantage
