The Food Service Worker is a 10-month position based on the established school calendar with daylight scheduling during the week. Hours include Mondays-Fridays from 5:30am to 1:30pm. We are anticipating an August 4th start date for the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must obtain work permit, if applicable
- Prior experience in food service production is desirable
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate and interact positively with students, teachers, staff, etc.
- Must have the capacity to grasp the proper use of scales and other food production equipment
- Must have the capacity to comprehend and utilize standardized recipes and production sheets
- Must have the capacity to operate a point of sale cashier system
- Must be able to read and write English, do simple arithmetic, and follow oral and written instructions
- Manual dexterity and ability to work under pressure
- Must be able to lift at least 35 lbs
- Must be capable of standing on feet for 7-8 hours at a time
- Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to identify with the agency Mission Statement and support the agency’s Core Values
- Must have acceptable PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse History clearance and FBI clearance
- Must be reliable, adaptable, and organized. Must display good judgment, initiative, cooperation, and positive work behavior
