Job Description
The ID/OD Grinder is responsible for setting-up, operating and tending grinding. Grinding applications will span aerospace grade cylindrical grinding production & specialized tool/spindle grinding. Primary equipment for the position is S33 Studer ID/OD grinder, Studer Favorit, and various other related equipment.
Requirements
- Specializes in operating CNC and ID/OD grinders used in making or maintaining jigs, fixtures, gages and production aerospace parts.
- Planning and performing difficult grinding operations which require complicated setups or a high degree of accuracy.
- Determine proper feeds, speeds, tooling and operation sequence or select those prescribed in drawings, blueprints or layouts; using a variety of precision measuring instruments.
- Maintains a workable supply of perishable tools required in the operation of machinery, as well as supply charts of Q1 functions.
- Assists at other machines in Manufacturing when needed
