Financial Crime Assurance Manager

GoCardless is a global bank payment company seeking a Financial Crime Assurance Manager to implement the second line oversight framework, monitor and test financial crime risk controls, and provide assurance over projects. The role requires a strong understanding of financial crime risks and controls, as well as experience in assurance-based roles such as audit or compliance monitoring.

Requirements

• Providing oversight and assurance of financial crime risk controls through sampling, thematic reviews, and data analysis
• Managing the annual planning process for the Compliance Monitoring program
• Regularly testing and monitoring the adequacy of the firm's systems and controls
• Drafting reports outlining findings and corresponding action plans
• Identifying areas where systemic failures could occur and undertaking thematic reviews
• Supporting the development, introduction, and completion of project and business solutions to help close known financial crime issues
• Logging and tracking to completion of Audit, Self-identified, and other issues
• Providing financial crime management information to senior management with context and insights
• Delivering targeted financial crime training to the Compliance Operations team and Sales team
