Job Description
The Goddard Riverside Community Center is seeking an Assistant Teacher to work in their early childhood center. The successful candidate will have experience working with children aged 3-4 years old and possess a Teaching Assistant Certificate Level 1 or be working towards one. The role involves managing the classroom and safety of the children, leading the class, and preparing for activities with the help of the team.
Requirements
- Teaching Assistant Certificate Level 1 or CDA Certificate preferred
- Experience in Early Childhood preferred
- 1+ years of experience working with children aged 3-4 years old
- DOI Fingerprinted/PETS
- Current CPR/First Aid Training a plus
- Current DOE & DOH mandated trainings a plus
- Bilingual preferred
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to take initiative in work assignments
- Ability to work flexible hours and be flexible with the children
- Highly organized
- Ability to prioritize workload
