Software Engineer, Content Safety, Infra

We're looking for a software engineer to join the Content Safety organization in Core, where you'll design, build, maintain, and scale content safety platforms to safeguard business-critical products for Google. You'll collaborate with peers and stakeholders to ensure best practices among available technologies and identify opportunities to mitigate internal signal developer issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages
• 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
• 3 years of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio, reinforcement learning, Machine Learning (ML) infrastructure, or specialization in a related ML field
• 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging)
• Experience in Responsible AI or safety-adjacent fields (factuality, or product policy)
• Experience in content safety applied to software products
• Experience in scaling pipelines, deploying systems, and designing defensive architecture to meet Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
