Technical Program Manager, Data Center Construction

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex engineering projects, manage project schedules, and identify risks for the construction of data centers. The role requires a technical background and leadership expertise to oversee the execution of construction from land acquisition to operations. The program manager will be responsible for procuring, managing, and fostering partner teams to deliver construction related work on the campus, while ensuring a safe construction site and protecting the finished quality of the data center.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of experience in the mission critical industry, including data centers, oil and gas, or hospitals
• 5 years of experience with electrical, mechanical, or oil and gas systems
• 5 years of experience with construction, construction planning, budget management, and cash flows
• 5 years of experience managing direct reports
• 8 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects
• 7 years of experience with data center construction
• Experience managing vendor relationships and standard practices in the design and construction industry
• Knowledge of fast-track design-build processes
