Senior Windows Administrator

GovCIO is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Windows Administrator to support our mission-critical U.S. Coast Guard program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management and maintenance of a government computer system, with a strong emphasis on VMware, TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA), and Remote Desktop Services (RDS).

Requirements

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Servers (2016, 2019, and newer), ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Manage and administer a large-scale VMware vSphere environment, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machine lifecycle management.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Remote Desktop Services (RDS) to provide secure remote access to applications and desktops.
• Utilize TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA) for automated patching, configuration management, and compliance enforcement across the server environment.
• Administer Active Directory, including the management of Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP services.
• Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with government standards, including system hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Monitor system performance, respond to alerts, and provide advanced troubleshooting for system and application issues.
• Manage and test backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
