Job Description
Granite State Manufacturing (GSM) is seeking skilled Class B Welders to join their precision fabrication team on a first shift. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the U.S. Navy submarine program and advance toward full NAVSEA 1688 or EB-5341 certification, with direct involvement in advanced defense manufacturing initiatives. The position utilizes GTAW, SMAW, and GMAW processes on stainless steel and other defense-grade alloys.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with NAVSEA, AWS D1.1, or similar high-integrity standards.
- Proficiency in at least one major process: GTAW, SMAW, or GMAW.
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and follow process instructions.
- Solid understanding of joint prep, tacking, and distortion control.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Motivation to advance to Class A Welder certification.
