Job Description
Taboola is seeking a Junior Backend Software Engineer to join their Demand group in Budapest to contribute to the development and maintenance of their Taboola advertising systems. The role involves designing and implementing scalable solutions for data processing and analysis, working on recommendations systems, and impacting a large-scale user base. It offers opportunities for growth and exposure within a leading performance-driven advertising company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 1+ years of software development experience
- Backend Development experience with Java equivalent object-oriented language
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean code practice.
- Technical proficiency in English (e.g., IBT score)
- Experience with Spring and Kafka
- Experience with JavaScript and React
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL (mysql / Vertica / Cassandra)
- Agile environment experience (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
