Job Description
The Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) is seeking a visionary and dynamic Executive Director to lead their organization through its next chapter. The role focuses on enhancing and protecting state forests, parks, trails, and natural resources, increasing membership, and growing CFPA’s advocacy and fundraising efforts. CFPA serves as a cornerstone of Connecticut’s conservation community, providing education, land acquisition, and public policy to preserve and revitalize the state's natural heritage.
Requirements
- Passion for CFPA’s mission
- 15+ years of professional experience in environmental or conservation-focused nonprofit organizations
- Proven track record of leading programs
- Experience developing and leading fundraising strategies
- Fluency in science-based conservation programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and interpersonal skills
