Principal Scientist, Virology

A Principal Scientist, Virology position is available at GSK in Cambridge, MA. The successful candidate will design and execute experiments with guidance from the lab head and project teams, using knowledge of virology and molecular biology. Key responsibilities include applying virology and molecular biology expertise to the design and development of GSK vaccine projects, performing multiple immunology assays, and providing scientific expertise in the areas of virus latency and reactivation.

Requirements

• PhD degree in life sciences with at least 3 years of experience in a related biotechnology field
• Masters degree with at least 5 years of experience in a related biotechnology field
• Three or more years of experience in virology, preferably with experience with multiple viruses and those that undergo latent and reactivation phases
• Three or more years of experience with a wide array of molecular biology and immunology techniques, including FACS and ligand-based assays
