Outside Machinist 1st Class

Outside Machinist 1st Class responsible for repairing and reassembling marine and offshore equipment, with duties including steam turbine repair, centrifugal pump repair, and gear box alignment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and/or one year certificate from college or technical school
• Industrial and/or marine equipment repair experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and technical manuals
• Reasonable knowledge of machinery, bearings, fasteners, seals, mechanical applications, and their tolerance requirements
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under deadlines and schedule pressures with minimum supervision
