Job Description
The Pipe Welder 1st Class is responsible for performing welding operations on marine vessels, industrial components, and equipment. This includes repairing, constructing, and manufacturing items in a flat, vertical, or overhead position. The position requires a strong understanding of welding procedures and the ability to use various welding equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, some college, or technical school certification.
- Six months to one year experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Passing an ABS, or ASME weld test (for PLW2/PLW1 & PPW2/PPW1).
- Ability to stand and operate equipment for up to four continuous hours.
- Wearing hearing, eye, head protection and proper PPE.
