Avionics Electrical Technician IV will train on first shift and provide technical expertise and guidance while performing various operational, functional tests and repairs of avionics/electronic, aircraft equipment and systems. The position requires superior technical skills and expertise in avionics and acft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and other technical data.
- Install and route wire harnesses, perform basic terminations (crimp and solder), perform advanced terminations (Quadrex/Coax) and assemble/dis-assemble connectors.
- Perform ring outs, resistance, and voltage checks.
- Be proficient in electrical and avionics systems troubleshooting.
- Perform avionics system operational checks and return to service checks on newly installed avionics electrical systems.
- Experience using various avionics test equipment such as IFR 6000, IFR 4000 and air data test equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems (Navigation, Communications, Integrated Modular Avionics).
- Manage and delegate tasks to Jr. Technicians.
- Must be self-directed.
- Read, follow, and complete daily written turnovers.
