Job Description
The Sterile Processing Technician II supports patients by providing quality instrument processing, handling, and sterilization. This role involves demonstrating knowledge of AAMI standards and performing up to 30 of the 40 Standard Work procedures. The position is based in Binghamton, NY, and reports to the Quality Assurance/Risk Management team.
Requirements
- 2 years of surgical/relevant experience
- High School education or GED
- Current Sterile Processing certification (18 months of hire)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of AAMI standards and sterilization techniques
- Proficiency in cleaning and sterilization procedures
