Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer Platform who thrives at the intersection of scale, reliability, and developer experience. You'll be the backbone of HackerRank's services, building and scaling our API platform to be secure, performant, and developer-friendly.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in building and scaling API platforms
- Deep expertise in API design (REST, GraphQL, gRPC), lifecycle management, and microservices
- Skilled in distributed systems, service discovery, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Proficient with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), API gateways, service meshes, and observability tools
- Experienced with SQL/NoSQL databases, scalable schema design, and query optimization
- Hands-on with CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and event-driven systems (Kafka)
