Job Description
HackerRank is seeking a Staff AI Scientist to design and evaluate AI systems. This role involves data preparation, model evaluation, and cross-functional leadership, focusing on rigorous datasets, metrics, and scalable pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning fundamentals and a proven track record of building advanced AI systems.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong background in mathematical and statistical foundations of machine learning.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end ML lifecycle.
- Proven expertise in evaluation dataset design and metric creation.
- Experience with LLM evaluation, fine-tuning, and RAG, with engineering skills for production-ready pipelines.
