Backend Software Engineer

Hadrian is building autonomous factories to manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships faster and cheaper. We're looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our team and work on critical backend services, APIs, and systems.

Requirements

• Expertise in modern backend technologies, with a deep understanding of distributed systems, service architecture, data modeling, and scalable infrastructure design.
• Strong ability and desire to write high-quality, maintainable code.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs (REST & gRPC).
• Ability to develop, deploy, and maintain backend and full-stack applications using a modern cloud or containerized stack.
• Bias toward action and take pride in your work.
• Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with high stakes and quick iteration cycles.
• Strong product intuition and user empathy.
• Experience working across multiple languages or systems as needed: Go, Python, C#, C++, etc.
• Background with systems that require high performance, reliability, or real-time processing.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, robotics, automation, manufacturing systems, or 3D environments.
• Demonstrated success implementing and scaling production systems in complex environments.
