We’re looking for a Claims Manager – Hamilton Select Claims based in Richmond, the Tri-state area, or working remotely. The role involves handling high exposure casualty and/or speciality professional claims, assisting in the hiring, training, and guidance of future claims adjusters, and providing leadership and mentorship to claims adjusters.
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years’ experience in casualty claims and/or specialty claims handling or related litigation
- Experience working claims in the Excess and Surplus Market
- Experience working with complex coverage issues
- Multi-jurisdictional claims and litigation experience
- Adjuster license and/or certifications desired but not required
- Highly advanced knowledge of claim processes, policies, procedures, claim systems, regulation, coverage, liability, damage evaluation, and/or settlement
- Excellent negotiating, analytical, written, and organizational skills
- Mediation and arbitration experience
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite and in-house claims systems)
- Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
