Job Description
Harbor Health is seeking an Actuarial Intern to join their team as they build an entirely new healthcare delivery and payment model in Texas. The role involves analyzing large-scale health data, developing models, and improving member outcomes. It's a paidvider position with clinical care data and health plan analytics involvement.
Requirements
- Junior or senior year of college majoring in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science or related quantitative field
- Foundational knowledge of data analytics, machine learning, mathematics, statistics, and database structures
- Working knowledge of Excel, SQL, and Python
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage own schedule
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills
- Flexibility in implementation and collaboration
