Senior Data Engineer_

Health Gorilla is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of creating and maintaining an analytics infrastructure and pipeline that enables almost every other data function at the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience building and scaling data pipelines, warehouses, and analytics environments
• Proven expertise with AWS data services
• Experience with Databricks and Spark, with demonstrated ability to migrate or integrate from these systems to AWS-native solutions
• Strong command of SQL, Python, and at least one compiled language
• Deep understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, data modeling, and data lake architectures
• Hands-on experience implementing data quality frameworks, CI/CD for data pipelines, and infrastructure as code
• Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant data handling, FHIR, or other healthcare interoperability standards is a strong plus
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of collaborating across functions and influencing technical direction
