We are looking for a caring and compassionate team member to work as a full-time cook in a cost-effective and efficient manner to safely meet residents needs.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED or experience
• Meet all health requirements imposed by law
• Ability to read and write, speak and understand English
• Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff
• Ability to withstand sudden temperature changes from the heat of the kitchen or the cold of the freezer
• Ability to taste and smell food to determine quality and palatability
• Ability to safely transport hot pans from range or ovens to the steam table and be able to maneuver in the kitchen and walk-in freezer and cooler
• Ability to identify chemicals, and properly use and dilute them
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations
