Medical Billing Specialist

HealthCare Support Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Medical Biller to follow through with timely follow up for all assigned accounts and ensure timely collection of all outstanding balances. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience with medical billing, coding, and collections, and strong knowledge of reviewing charges and credits, medical terminology, and payer guidelines.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience with medical billing, coding, and collections for a hospital or physician's group
• Strong knowledge of reviewing charges and credits
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology
• A/R billing
• Understand payer guidelines
• Understand preparing appeals for denials
• Basic knowledge of ICD9, ICD10, CPT Codes
• College preferred, HS Diploma required
• Strong computer skills, MS office suite
• Excellent communication skills in person and over the phone
