Medicare & Insurance Collector

Performs collections and assists with duties including questions, escalations, etc. Must have strong knowledge of commercial insurances and medicare collections.

Requirements

• A minimum of three years in position within the Medical Collections department of a medical facility, handling MEDICARE collections for at least two years.
• Computer literacy in a Windows environment, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, as well as proprietary systems expertise.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Excellent quantative and qualitative results.
• Existing peer recognition as a “go-to” team member.
• Demonstrates support and knowledge of all Hoveround policies and procedures.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior collections leadership (Supervisor/Senior/Lead) experiences a plus.
• Prior medical experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong motivation and initiative.
