Regions Hospital is seeking a self-motivated, quality-focused Cytologist to join their laboratory team. The Cytologist will perform cytological analysis of benign and malignant conditions, identify unusual findings, and perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or allied health sciences including Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, etc. and successful completion of a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) or ASCP approved School of Cytotechnology.
- ASCP board certification or eligible.
- Two (2) years of Cytotechnology work experience within the last five- (5) years may substitute for the educational qualifications.
- Must be certified within one year of hire.
- If ASCP certified after 2004, must participate in the Certificate of Maintenance Program (CMP).
