Job Description
Helion is a fusion power company seeking a Director of Engineering to design and execute the balance of plant systems for their first fusion power plant. This role involves leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and is crucial for translating fusion physics into practical power generation. It's an onsite role reporting to the VP of Engineering in Everett, WA.
Requirements
- A degree in engineering or physics
- 10+ years of multidisciplinary engineering experience
- 5+ years in technical leadership or management
- Expertise in mechanical systems, heat transfer, vacuum systems, or process engineering
- Ability to build structure and focus in fast-moving, high-ambiguity environments
