The Certified Wellness Coach will provide child- and youth-centered care, prioritize primary prevention and early intervention, and support non-clinical behavioral health needs of children and youth. The coach will work on site at various school campuses, including within the HYC operated Dream Resource Centers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services addiction studies, psychology, sociology, and/or child development/early intervention
- Minimum of 2,000 hours of field experience
- Certification through the California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI)
- Superb planning and organizational skills
- Experience in leading, facilitating engaging and/or organizing youth activities
- Strong relationship-building/maintaining, networking skills, and great organizational skills
- Competency to work with various ethnic/cultural groups
- Ability to effectively communicate in written form as well as verbally
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to pass background check and criminal clearance
