Lead Software Engineer (Android / Kotlin)- Berlin

We are seeking an experienced Lead Android Developer to drive the development of next-generation Android applications for automotive dashboards. The role involves taking technical ownership of an Android application, architecting solutions, mentoring junior developers, and staying informed on the latest Android development trends and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of professional Android development experience.
• Proven leadership experience: Preferably in a technical lead or senior developer role with demonstrated ability to mentor and guide other developers.
• Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Strong architectural thinking: Experience designing scalable, performant applications with attention to memory optimization.
• Android fundamentals: Deep understanding of Android platform architecture, lifecycle management, and system constraints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to balance technical excellence with business requirements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
