Job Description
Hermeus is a venture capital-backed aerospace and defense technology company focused on high-speed products for the U.S. Department of Defense. The company values a strong welding process and design methodology, incorporating iterative development to deliver advanced aircraft systems. This role supports manufacturing and development of Hermeus vehicles, with welding being a critical aspect of the process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- Hands-on fabrication, manufacturing, or testing experience of welded assemblies
- Masters degree in welding engineering or related technical program (Preferred)
- Experience with stainless steel, nickel-based, titanium, copper, and aluminum alloys (Preferred)
- Fundamental understanding of welding processes (including laser beam, plasma arc, etc.) (Preferred)
- Experience with tool and NDE processes (ASTM E8, E399, E740, ISO 15653, AWS D17.X, etc.)
- Self-motivated with keen attention to detail
