Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner-Hospitalist provides comprehensive direct patient care and scholarly practice. Responsibilities include collecting patient data, analyzing health information, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patient outcomes. The NP assumes accountability for indirect patient care and supports staff and student education, clinical research, and program development.
Requirements
- Completion of Nurse Practitioner Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited college or university
- Successful completion of a National Certification Exam for NP
- Current registration through the Alabama board of Nursing or Board of Medical Examiners
- Approval of Decatur Morgan Hospital credentialing board
