Risk Adjustment Medical Coder

High Country Community Health (HCCH) is seeking a full-time Remote Risk Adjustment Medical Coder to review and verify clinical documentation related to Risk Adjustment and HCC coding guidelines. The role involves maintaining knowledge of coding standards, accuracy, and supporting staff in the Billing department. This position requires strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to patient care and ethical coding practices.

Requirements

• High-speed internet access
• Strong clinical knowledge related to chronic illness diagnosis, treatment, and management.
• Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of Risk Adjustment coding and data validation is highly preferred.
• Personal discipline to work remotely without direct supervision
• Active Certified Risk Adjustment Coder certification (CRC and/or CPC) required
• Candidates hired with active CPC, but without Certified Risk Adjustment Coder certification (CRC) must obtain CRC certification within 9 months of hire
