The Youth Care Professional I supports the day-to-day functioning of residents and delivers relationship-based, competence centered, and trauma informed solutions to youth and families to help them reach their full potential.

Requirements

• Engage youth and families in trust-based, productive relationships
• Maintain vigilance and ratio to ensure safety of residents
• Provide support services such as mentoring, emotional support, life skills training, and personal care to children
• Complete and maintain documentation in medical record system and daily logs
• Supervise residents through trauma-informed approaches
• Recognize dysregulated youth behavior and effectively apply crisis prevention and intervention
• Build professional relationships that support the individual development and success of residents
