Job Description
This is a Principal Software Engineer (Backend Engineer) role at Fandom, where you will be a technical leader responsible for building engagement and monetizing experiences for over 300 million monthly users. You will work with the Data Platform team and lead other engineers to discover and implement solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- Expertise in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, Golang, or Kotlin
- Experience designing and architecting scaled-up back-end systems
- High degree of proficiency in optimizing full-stack web systems
- Experience building large user personalization, recommendation, and search-based systems
- Deep experience as an expert and technical leader for large Engineering teams
- Experience explaining complicated technical plans to various audiences
- Business-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable with mentoring others
