Job Description
Tax Senior required for a public accounting tax role with a CPA firm in Lincolnshire, IL. Responsibilities include preparing federal and multi-state tax returns, managing tax engagements, and supporting tax compliance and planning initiatives. Candidates must have 3-6 years of recent public accounting tax experience, a strong hands-on preparation experience, and a solid technical tax foundation.
Requirements
- Prepare federal and multi-state tax returns (1040, 1120-S, 1065, 1041)
- Manage tax engagements from preparation through completion
- Support tax compliance and planning initiatives for closely held businesses and individuals
- Assist with preliminary review of work prepared by junior staff
- Respond to client inquiries and follow up on documentation requests
- Maintain detailed workpapers and supporting documentation
- Adhere to firm processes, quality standards, and filing deadlines
- Manage workload efficiently during peak tax seasons
