Associate Designer, Design Engineering

The Associate Designer, Design Engineering will create technical assemblies, models, and drawings for the design of Air Compressors, working closely with other designers, engineers, and staff engineers. The role involves creating 3D CAD models, designing air compressor components, and providing technical support to teammates. The successful candidate will have strong 3D parametric modeling skills and experience using PLM software.

Requirements

• AS Degree minimum
• 1-4 years' experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
• Strong 3D parametric modeling skills (mechanical design, mechanical routing, castings, and machining)
• Experience using ECTR or other PLM Software
• Ability to create complex assemblies using constraints
• Ability to understand and create P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
• Proficient in Unigraphics NX 12, other design packages considered with appropriate experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-starter, professional, able to work without direct guidance or direction from others
• Multi-tasking, efficiently managing several projects simultaneously
• Interact positively with other employees and other departments
