Hitchiner Manufacturing Co., Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead shell & foundry operations on a Saturday - Wednesday shift. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, safety focused, and deeply involved in the craft of producing high-quality castings for the aerospace industry.
Requirements
- Supervise, direct and coordinate the activities of hourly and/or salaried employees
- Meet set goals in areas such as Line of Balance Requirements, cost goals on labor, efficiency, quality (including scrap and re-work), overtime and overhead expenses, housekeeping and employee turnover
- Maintain a safe working environment and meet established procedures and practices for MSDS, Lock Out/Tag Out, and Safety Committee
- Interview and select employees to be hired
- Ensure proper training and disciplines are maintained
- Complete employee performance reviews on schedule
- Recommend termination and disciplinary action
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate reports on all labor vouchers, scrap logs and process sheets
- Ensure effective maintenance of departmental facilities and equipment, including preventive maintenance programs
- Ensure all handling of hazardous materials meet regulatory requirements and attend regulatory training as required
