Job Description
Hive is a marketing platform that powers personalized and automated campaigns for event marketers. They are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to scale production data storage, enhance query performance, and define event-driven architecture for their platforms. The role involves building and maintaining data infrastructure and mentoring engineers, contributing to a high-growth company.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 5+ years focused on data systems (databases, pipelines, infrastructure)
- Experience working with very large-scale datasets (hundreds of millions to billions of rows)
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience scaling production datastores and managing low-disruption data migrations
- Familiarity with event-driven data architectures
