Nurse Extern (Spine & Orthopedics), Part - Full Time

Under general supervision of an RN preceptor, assists the RN preceptor with the provision and coordination of patient-centered care. The Nurse Extern assists the RN preceptor with activities of the nursing process and participates in patient and family teaching to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

• Must be a BSN (between junior and senior year) or ADN student and have completed one full year of clinical rotations
• Must have completed skills labs
• Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider or completed within 60 days of hire
• Must be available to work off-shifts and weekends
• Must be able to work 40-72 hours per pay period for 10-12 consecutive weeks during summer months
• Must be able to be flexible with when scheduled to work and able to work the schedule of the assigned RN preceptor
