The Senior Maintenance Mechanic reports to the shift supervisor and involves highly skilled troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, and repair of complex electro-mechanical equipment. The role requires expertise in electrical systems, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment and facilities. The position also involves mentoring and assisting junior mechanics and participating in new projects to install or improve the safety and performance of existing and new equipment.
Requirements
- Ten+ years of maintenance experience, ideally including experience at an OEM or similar
- Expert in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs of industrial equipment and facilities
- Experience in food processing required; experience with packaging machinery preferred
- MA Fireman 2 License and/or Ammonia Operator 1 Certification preferred
- Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyor systems, or control systems
- Knowledge of PLC’s is required
- Advanced knowledge of CMMS, data analysis, and quality control
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP/GMP) requirements
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and repair instruction
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
