Seasonal, Part-Time APC Zookeeper

Houston Zoo is seeking well-qualified candidates with aviculture experience to join our Bird Department team as a Seasonal, Part-Time APC Zookeeper. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations associated with the husbandry of animals and the maintenance of animal areas within the Bird Department.

Requirements

• Experience in captive management of a variety of bird species
• Artificial incubation and hand-rearing experience
• Pursuing Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or Associates degree from college or university in related field
• One year of experience in animal care at an AZA or equivalent facility
• Experience with basic carpentry and mechanical skills
