Energy Efficiency Engineer

We are hiring an Energy Efficiency Engineer to join our team in Boise, ID. The ideal candidate will have experience with HVAC, building systems, or energy audits and be able to solve complex energy challenges. The position involves working with commercial and industrial customers to identify projects to reduce energy usage and quantify energy savings.

Requirements

• Engineering degree and/or great experience required
• At least 3 years of experience in the energy efficiency or mechanical engineering field
• Working knowledge of commercial and industrial mechanical systems and building science
• Experience in analyzing commercial and industrial energy systems and quantifying annual energy savings
• Experience conducting ASHRAE Level II Audits
• Ability to identify mechanical and electrical equipment in the field and explain control methods and what retrofits or changes can be implemented to conserve energy
• High-energy, self-starter with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Capability of working autonomously and collaboratively on a team, with good project and time management skills
• Excellent writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
• Excellent Excel skills
• P.E., EIT, CEM, and/or CMVP preferred
