The CSEC Intervention Specialist will work to employ a survivor-led CSEC model to help youth and young adults feel empowered to leave or reduce harmful situations, provide linkages to resources, co-facilitate CSEC prevention workshops for youth, and support in preparing and facilitating CSEC trainings to community partners and providers.
Requirements
- Two years' experience working with marginalized youth and families, specifically providing direct services or case management
- Experience engaging youth between the ages of 11-24 and working with their parents/caregivers
- Experience working with various cultural and ethnic groups and genders in a tactful and effective manner
- Familiarity and commitment to the harm reduction model
- Proven ability to balance crisis and an empowerment approach when working with youth
- Experience advocating in a collaborative process and negotiating various systems, preferably the foster and juvenile justice systems
- Excellent organizational, time-management and communication skills
