The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with HSE policies, local regulations, and international safety standards.
Requirements
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with SABIC standards and local regulations.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture through awareness programs, training sessions, and toolbox talks.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain HSE records, documentation, and compliance reports as per regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to implement safety improvements and emergency response plans.
- Monitor the effectiveness of safety programs and recommend enhancements for continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems.
