Job Description
The role of Machinist I involves adhering to all company HSEQ processes and procedures, reviewing and comprehending part drawings, and performing basic operation of turning and milling equipment for simple, non-critical tasks.
Requirements
- Adhere to all company HSEQ processes and procedures
- Review and comprehend dimensional drawings
- Basic operation of turning and milling equipment (simple/non-critical)
- Operate a 3-Jaw or 4-Jaw "Independent Chuck", band saw, and drill press
- Polish various valve parts to manufacturer specifications
- Rough out in-house fabricated parts
- Machine flanges to within ASME 16.50 specifications
- Drill & tap holes
- Knowledge of basic measuring tools (calipers, dial indicators, tape measures, thread gauges, and veneers)
- Introductory learning of various measuring instruments (micrometers, last word indicators, PMI guns, and thread measurement devices)
