Job Description
Huntsville Memorial Hospital is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to prepare and perform mammography procedures safely and accurately. Responsibilities include accurately performing mammography, maintaining safe environments, recording patient information, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The position is part of an interdisciplinary team and involves working with patients, medical staff, and hospital staff.
Requirements
- Completion of formal radiology technology program
- One year of experience as a diagnostic radiologic technologist with 250 mammograms preferred
- Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Advanced registry in mammography from the ARRT (R)(M) required
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
- Frequent pushing, pulling, standing & walking
- Occasional sitting, lifting, carrying, reaching, bending, squatting, climbing, twisting
- Visual and hearing acuity required
- Working inside and with good ventilation
