(Full-Time) Park Support Specialist

Assists with park operations, including accounting, payroll, and budget preparation. Performs clerical and administrative tasks, communicates with staff and the public, and maintains records and filing systems.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in related field, Bachelors preferred
• 4 or more years of related service for credit towards meeting minimum educational requirements
• Knowledge of accounting principles, budget controls, auditing, cash controls and professional standards and ethics
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, filing and record management systems
• Ability to use mathematics to solve problems
• Ability to communicate using telephone and radio equipment
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with the public, outside agencies and employees
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and varied hours including weekends and holidays
• Ability to utilize computer system to include word processing, spreadsheet, publishing, and data base software applications
• Ability to maintain and keep clerical and stock records
• Possession of a valid Michigan operator's license and acceptable driving record
